Sonoran Gopher (Pituophis Catenifer Affinis) Hypomelanistic G-Line

How it all started.

aLBINO Hypo mALE oRIGINS:

A Sonoran Gopher was purchased from a local store in Southern California as an Albino over 8 years ago. Bred after a few years producing het for albino babies.

A female was held back for future breedings.

2024 the male was bred to an unrelated high red sonoran female. Producing Het albinos.

I have a few of these hold backs. 3.1

2025 the male was bred back to one of the females from its first breeding.

This clutch produced Hypos, Albinos and Hybinos.

We are calling this Hypo Lineage "G-Line Hypo"

DISCLAIMER

Hypomelanistic Sonorans have popped up here and there but not too many. Having various conversations with breeders with decades of experience with Sonoran Gophers noone has set claim to an original first producer of Hypomelanistic PURE Sonorans. If there is one out there with proven PURE Sonoran Hypo Gophers please correct me.
